Says YUK-YUK to Express Laughter

Related:

YUK-YUK is a self-congratulatory laugh used along with HAW-HAW and sometimes HO-HO by villains.

Villains do the most laughing in Herbie stories, usually a maniacal laugh like HA-HA, HO-HO, and YUK-YUK, but also sinister or insincere laughs like HEH-HEH and nasty laughs like HAW-HAW! Several interjections are used for laughter: HA-HA 28, HEH-HEH 24, HAW-HAW-HAW 12, HAW-HAW 11, ... and the majority are the evil laughs of villains 83/116 = 72% (18% of villain interjections are laughs). Males, animals, and Dad laughs a little (Dad, a weak HEH-HEH), but Mom never laughs. Herbie laughs just once, but it's ironic.
